Black Friday Rifle

It’s been two years since I bought my last rifle which was an AR-15. It works well for what it does but recently I was thinking I wanted something capable of taking hunting but also fun for me to shoot at the range. So I was debating getting an upper for my AR-15 in .300 Blackout or a completely new rifle. All have their different reasons in favor of that choice. One option I looked at was getting an AR-10, the big brother of the AR-15 in .308/7.62 NATO. It’s a solid rifle but I was thinking it was a little out of my price range. I could have always built it piece by piece but my local gun shop “Gun Shack” was having a great Black Friday sale today. So I asked Sarah if I could get myself a big gift and she gave the okay. So off I went today and now I have this big beautiful DPMS LR-308 Panther Oracle. I was able to get it at a steep discount and can’t wait to take it out to the range. Picture taken with AR-15 to see the difference in scale.
